Robin Wilson
Co-author, Who is God Now?
Life came to a screeching halt when Robin’s husband returned home from his eighth military deployment overseas and confessed to nearly a decade of marital unfaithfulness. As Robin began wading through the destruction of her marriage and the feelings of betrayal, she sought the Lord wholeheartedly. She asked the questions, “Why?” “How could You allow this?” and “Who are you, Lord?” Robin began to understand God’s character in new ways as He walked her through the trauma of marital betrayal and began healing her heart. After seeing God’s love, trustworthiness, and healing firsthand, it’s become her heart’s desire to share truths about God’s character with women who are on the journey of betrayal recovery. Robin desired to share what she had learned and the Lord pointed her towards a peer facilitator training program which provided her with tools to lead women through betrayal recovery with a trauma-informed approach. She will be starting a betrayal support group for women in her military community this summer.
Robin is no stranger to facilitating groups. She followed God’s prompting to be a leader at Bible Study Fellowship in 2016 and she led discussion groups for 6 years. She grew to love that role and began leading Bible studies at her local Protestant Women of the Chapel (PWOC) group and hosting evening Bible studies for neighbors in her home.
Robin has always had a passion for women’s ministry. She worked as a labor and delivery nurse for 15 years and enjoyed assisting mothers welcome new life into the world. She was recently given the amazing opportunity to join the staff at a local Pregnancy Care Center. She walks alongside women in crisis pregnancies, providing them with a listening ear, resources, and ultrasounds.
Robin considers her most important ministry that of a wife and mother. After the betrayal disclosure, the Lord guided Robin and her husband towards reconciliation and rebuilt their marriage from the ground up. They renewed their wedding vows in 2022 and have seen evidence of the Lord trading the ashes of betrayal for the beauty of forgiveness, healing, and growth. Together, they have three boys, ages 7, 10, and 13. As a family, they enjoy snuggling, traveling, camping, and outdoor adventures like rock climbing, hiking, and swimming. It’s Robin’s mission in life to raise her boys into God-honoring, respectful young men. It blesses her heart when she hears stories of how her teenager stood up for his beliefs in school and how her 10-year-old talked about God with a classmate. Her youngest son loves rehearsing God’s attributes and takes it all in during family devotional time. These are the moments Robin loves best.
Robin spends time in God’s Word on a daily basis and is growing in her prayer life. Her favorite hobbies include organizing her home, visiting national and state parks, drinking coffee in front of a sunrise, capturing memories and turning those photographs into digital creations, and sitting with her husband around a campfire.
